All home studies will be conducted according to jurisdictional regulations in a professional and timely manner. Placement decisions for Lutheran Social Services domestic adoptions are geared toward the best interests of the child and are made by the staff, with input from birth parents. Therefore, we cannot ensure an adoption placement for every applicant.
Domestic adoptions: $3,000-$7,000. The fee is based upon a sliding scale related to gross family income.
Independent adoptions:
Application $ 200
Home Study $1,150
*There may be additional fees from the child placement source.
Post-placement services:
Home Study Reevaluation/Update $ 300--$ 900
Post-placement Report $ 300 each visit/ $ 900 three visits in 6 months
Court Report (when required) $ 300--$ 350
Fees paid to the agency are to cover the costs incurred in relation to the adoption program.
